Welcome

I am an evolutionary biologist, working as a post-doctoral researcher in Dr. Tarmo Ketola’s group at the University of Jyväskylä since February 2015. I study adaptation to fluctuating environments in bacteria.

My previous academic position was as a post-doctoral researcher in Prof. Craig Primmer’s group at the University of Turku, and before that I was working at the marine research station of Roscoff, in Brittany.

Research interests

  • Thermal adaptation in aquatic metazoans and in microbes
  • Effect of parasite infection on individual performance in wild fish populations
  • Physiology and biochemistry of invertebrate oxygen transporters (hemoglobin, hemocyanin)
